Competition SelaQui had to compete with well-established schools in the Doon Valley like the Doon School, Welhams and the like. |
Communication objective To be seen as "a school that shapes students rooted in Indian values but well-versed with the latest in the world." |
Desired response "Here is a school which will make my child into an adult with character, who will be prepared to fit in anywhere in the global village." |
The logo The logo was designed as a stylized version of the Bodhi tree - a Peepal tree under which Buddha attained enlightenment. The Selaqui campus has a 300 year old Peepal tree, which ties in well with the Indian tradition of gurus teaching their students under the shade of a tree. The tree is rendered to look free, flourishing and strong. The peach-coloured rising sun enclosing the symbol signifies knowledge and intellect. The green tree stands for growth with a firm foundation. |
